Now that’s my Doctor, the 10th Doctor. I don’t really like how this turned out compared to the Matt Smith sketch, but David Tennant is my favorite.
Here’s a quick look at some of my best pictures I took at Comic Con this year. Here we go!
As if I had any doubt I was on my way to Comic Con Thursday morning, I was reassured by this radical sight.
Me and my friend dressed up as The 10th Doctor and Rose Tyler (from Doctor Who, duh).
We found the Back to the Future Delorean and thought we’d take it out for a spin.
Suddenly a roaming pack of Doctors appeared! We actually ran into these guys throughout the week. Amazing, right?
This guy had every David Tennant Doctor topped BIG TIME (especially since he spoke with an accent). I was ashamed of myself.
I needed some extra spending cash…
One of my friend dressed as Poison Ivy. This cop was nice enough to pretend to arrest her for a picture! Atleast, I hope he was pretending, I haven’t seen her since the Con. o__o
First time I’ve personally seen Holy Grail costumes at the Con. They even trotted around like in the movie. Just listen for the coconuts!
Not the best sketch ever, but I drew this at some booth, they put it on a wall, and I got a free pen. Yay.
There was a Doctor Who cosplay meetup Thursday evening. It was crazy. Too many Doctor Who fans in one place…HEY, JUST LIKE TUMBLR!
I finally got to meet Gene Goldstein, a young artist I’ve been following since I first discovered the internet. Check out his work: http://genegoldstein.com
On Friday I switched from the white shirt/brown suit combo to the blue shirt/brown suit one. Then we had a close encounter with a clockwork droid!
I saw a lot of TARDIS dresses, but I only saw one TARDIS suit and he was traveling with a WHO possy.
What’s better than trying to figure out a good Skellington costume? Making a “life-size” Skellington puppet!
A gender bender Adventure Time squad! YES!
I brought signs to go with my costume which I’d whip out every once in a while. One said, “Has anyone seen my blue box?” and the other said, “Don’t Blink” (and yes, that’s a weeping angel I drew on my sign). This guys also had a cool Doctor Who sign.
I got to see the WestHavenBrook guys again. This year they had a booth! Here’s John Soares holding a Danger Element poster he had just signed.
I only got to go Thursday and Friday. Even though it all went by so fast, it was quite a blast. And check it, me and my friend made it into io9’s “Best Doctor Who Cosplay at Comic Con” album: http://io9.com/5824277/doctor-who-wore-it-best-a-collection-of-the-best-doctor-cosplay-at-comic+con/gallery/20
